UK petrol [gas] prices
Just a short heads up from the UK, England to be precise! I read the intel about the cost of petrol [gas] in the States. We are already, in some parts of the country, suffering from the £5 gallon. Of course, petrol and diesel is sold in litres now here - just to make it sound cheaper, or to be more precise to make us keep in line with the Common Market, or to please the politicians maybe - any, or all those reasons apply. Same as we suffer kilometres on TV programmes [and lose the gist of the story, whilst trying to work out far it is in miles], instead of the miles which are properly on all the signposts in this country. If you happen to surmise that I'm not in favour of us being in the EEC... too true. Never have been, never will be. Stubborn, I know. Alternatively, it could be said that I am consistent! |
