Question?
Today I have looked into screening some of the new contributions to the intel here. Does anyone know about the rules on how to rate intel? I was of the opinion [or was it just an impression?] that blatant advertising of websites or links without the addition of at least a paragraph or two of useful content was not really deemed a proper intel. Am I correct? Are they really worth the amount of credit they will receive? I have been giving very low marks to intel which is just 2 lines plus some links. Am I being unfair? I know that some intel is, to put it politely, slightly long-winded for the sake of it. Not using one word when 20 will do! But this other seemed to be going far too far in the other direction - without any real subject matter. Some of the best, most interesting, or helpful, intel I have had the pleasure of reading has been of a short or medium length... but it has been full of content. Maybe that content was not of particular interest or help to me personally... but I could see that it would be of vital help to many. One item comes to mind from the past few days, that of home schooling, my children are of working age so it does not apply to me personally... but those articles [intels] could be of real help, or at the very least, thought provoking to many whose children are within the education system. I gave THEM good marks. |
